This cutting-edge device quickly and effectively captures multiple 3D images of the inside of your mouth, allowing our dentists to more effectively diagnose dental problems and provide effective treatments.
How iTero® Scanning Technology Works
iTero® scanning technology uses a small wand that your dental professional uses to scan the inside of your mouth. Digital images of your teeth and mouth are processed immediately and allow us to create a highly accurate image of the inside of your mouth. The device can capture up to 20 images per second, and automatically saves the images every few seconds so that no information is lost.
Advantages of iTero® Digital Scanning
The images captured during your scan are used to distinguish healthy tissues from infected ones in a non-invasive manner. The whole-mouth scan also helps us to create appliances that fit and function better. Our dentists may also use this technology to simulate the outcome of your treatment so that you can see what your smile should like after you complete your treatment!
